Summer Food Program
Every day this summer hungry children in our community have
found Owosso Church of the Nazarene to be a place that not
only serves up a nutritious lunch but also a huge dose of love.
We say a big "Thank You" to all of the volunteers who served
meals, poured milk, cleaned up spills, and spent time with
children. The seeds of love you planted this summer have not
gone unnoticed by our Heavenly Father.
We especially want to express our appreciation to Lynnaè
Kelley who served as program administrator and managed the
details of the Summer Food Program with excellence. Also
thanks to Heidi Ketterman who prepared delicious, kid-friendly
lunches and to Meagan Olds who organized games and
activities and demonstrated the love of Jesus to kids in a
beautiful way.
Through your generous giving we were able to send over 40
kids off to school this fall with new shoes, new backpacks,
and well-supplied with crayons, pencils, rulers, and paper.
Most of all, we've sent these precious kids back to school with
a sense that they are loved by Christ and His church. That's a
rather successful end to a busy summer of ministry, wouldn't
you say?

| JOIN US NEXT SUMMER WHILE SCHOOL IS OUT! Summer Food Program 2009 Monday through Friday from Noon-1:00 PM June 8th until September 4 Meals will be provided to all children without charge. Participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, age, or disability and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.
